Smile Makeovers Can Change Lives

Answer:  With television programs like “Extreme Makeover” showing the amazing advances in dental technology and the dramatic results that can be achieved, dentistry has captured the imagination of the American public like never before.  People are beginning to see that dentists with advanced training can help to change people’s lives!

First impressions are critical in establishing relationships in our society, and one’s smile is often the first thing that we notice when we meet someone new.  The vast majority of Americans agree that an attractive, healthy smile can positively influence one’s success in personal and professional relationships.  People want to look and feel younger and healthier, and often a “Smile Makeover” is exactly what they need.

Unfortunately, only about half of all Americans are happy with their smiles.  Many of them can acquire the “smile of their dreams” with orthodontic treatment and teeth whitening or cosmetic bonding. Porcelain veneers or full-mouth rehabilitation are a solution for many people, as well.  The wonderful news is that many smiles can be improved immensely in just two or three appointments, and the process is more comfortable and predictable than ever before!

From my experience, the most rewarding aspect of providing this type of service is the transformation that people undergo both inside and out.  A smile makeover boosts an individual’s self-esteem and self-confidence in a very tangible manner.  When you like what you see in the mirror, you smile more, and people are drawn to you because you appear to be a more friendly and positive person.
