MEET DR. KAREN BLAIR

Dr. Karen Blair practices cosmetic and family dentistry at Dentistry by Design and also works with us at Smiles By Dr. Gibson and Associates in Naperville. After receiving her nursing degree from Iowa, she attended dental school. Going through dental school as a practicing RN was a tremendous challenge, but she finished her degree in 1985 and opened an exceptional practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. With experience as a nurse and her top-notch dental education, she is uniquely qualified to provide compassionate, high-quality cosmetic and family dental care. Her diligence and commitment to excellence made her practice focused on cosmetic and family dentistry tremendously gratifying.

Moving to the Naperville area several years ago was another great opportunity, and we are very happy that Dr. Blair brought her skills to our community. She treats every patient like a family member, listening patiently, never judging, and performing life-changing smile makeovers. She is a fantastic addition to our practice.

Dr. Blair’s passion as a cosmetic and family dentist has earned her several impressive distinctions. Cambridge Who’s Who endorsed Dr. Blair in 2010 as a “Professional of the Year”, representing the practice of cosmetic dentistry. Additionally, the Consumer’s Research Council named Dr. Blair as one of America’s Top Dentists in 2010. Manchester Who’s Who Registry also named her as a member of the Executives and Professionals group in 2006. What really sets Dr. Blair apart, however, is her passion for helping people. Providing comprehensive cosmetic dental services to the people of Naperville in a compassionate, caring manner make her an asset to our patients. Dr. Blair has attended the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies, completing several very challenging courses that have helped her become the great clinician that she is today. The Facial Beauty Institute has also certified Dr. Blair to perform additional cosmetic procedures. She is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign invisible braces in Naperville. Invisalign is a service that often allows her to provide more conservative porcelain veneers by straightening the teeth first. Changing lives with Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry is something that Dr. Blair has done consistently throughout her 25 year dental career.

She is a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and attends intensive seminars annually to hone her clinical and diagnostic skills.
